A brief history of rock stars destroying guitars

The first time a rock star broke a guitar on stage, it was an accident. The Who’s Pete Townshend cracked his instrument’s headstock on a low ceiling.  He didn;t mean to do it, but the crowd ate it up.  From then on, he destroyed a guitar almost every night.  He learned to always give the audience what they want.
