In theory, a vampire could suck your blood in 6.4 minutes
A group of physics students from the University of Leicester got together to calculate the time (making a few assumptions on the conditions of the sucking) it would take a vampire to suck your blood. Via Gizmodo:
By calculating the speed at which the blood moves through the arteries, the students found that a vampire leaving two 0.5 mm puncture holes would drain 15 percent of the body’s blood in 6.4 minutes.
