The Museum of Endangered Sounds

Telephone modem dialing up the internet, a  VHS cassette being inserted into a VCR, a  seasoned writer clacking away on a typewriter… all made a distinct sound. The Museum Of Endangered Sounds (owned by Brendan Chilcutt) was created in 2012 as a way to preserve the sounds made famous by old technologies and electronics equipment.

Clicking or tapping on any of the images of the site will play you the vintage sound.  Check it out.
