Why the Mother of Mother’s Day Hated Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 8 is Mother’s Day.  Anna Jarvis, the Mother of Mother’s Day, LOVED her mom. She loved her mother so much that when her mother died, she devoted herself to campaigning for a national holiday to celebrate mothers. So why did Anna become so angry when President Woodrow Wilson made the holiday official in 1914?  Great Big Story has the reason why:
