Competing for the First Olympic Refugee Team

(via Great Big Story)  Popole Misenga and Yolande Mabika are two of 10 refugees selected for the first Olympic refugee team. They both fled civil conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in the 2016 Olympics these hopefuls will compete without a country. By competing in Judo at the 2016 Olympics, these athletes will bring their fight, and their story, to a global arena.
