What’s Baseball Without a Side of Grasshoppers?

(via Great Big Story) For Seattle Mariners fans, traditional ballpark snacks simply won’t do. Forget the peanuts, hot dogs and Cracker Jacks; at Safeco Field, toasted grasshoppers hit it out of the park. These “chapulines”—as they’re known in Spanish—were introduced to baseball fans this past season and were an instant hit. To date, the ballpark has sold more than 300,000 grasshoppers. And they all come from one local Mexican restaurant—Poquitos.
