The World’s Largest Vacuum Chamber

(via Amusing Planet)  The Space Power Facility (SPF) in Sandusky, Ohio, is the world’s largest vacuum chamber measuring 30 meters tall and 37 meters across. Originally designed for nuclear-electric power studies under vacuum conditions, it was later adopted for testing conditions existing in outer space so that rocket hardware could be examined before being sent into space.
