A Visit to America’s Longest Running Puppetry Theater

(via Atlas Obscura) Los Angeles’ historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater is reportedly the longest running puppet theater in the United States. It’s home to more than 2,000 handmade marionettes, and gives out free ice cream at its performances. Founded by Bob Baker and Alton Wood in 1963, the theater was designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural landmark in 2009.
