How to Make a Record-Setting Paper Plane
(via Great Big Story) If you want to make the best paper planes, you need to learn from a master. So we asked John Collins, who set the Guinness World Record for farthest flight by a paper aircraft in 2012, to teach us a thing or two about the squash fold and perfect winglets. In this tutorial, he shows us how to fold three planes: The Suzanne—the plane he set the world distance record with, named after his wife. The Tube—a tube-shaped plane you throw like a football. And, finally, the Boomerang—a stunt plane capable of circling left and right and performing loops. Ready to fly? Grab a stack of paper, press play (pause as often as you need to) and fold away.
