In Iceland, Testing the Drones That Could Be the Future of Mars Exploration

While it’s poking around, looking for signs of past habitability, Ingenuity—a tiny, experimental solar-powered helicopter hitching a ride on its underside—will try to demonstrate the possibility of flight on another world for the very first time.
