RETRO ROME – Central New York State for the Deaf – January 27, 1950.  The administration-classroom building in the photo was razed in the late 1960s to make way for the new, enlarged campus that is now the New York State School for the Deaf.  The project, which took five years and cost $10 million dollars was completed in 1971. #retrorome
