RETRO ROMANS – Aerial of East Rome needs help determining year
RETRO ROME – Retro Romans! It’s time to put your historical memory and thinking caps to good use! This aerial negative taken of East Rome was found without a date – month or year. The best estimate (year wise) is late 1960s or very early 1970s. Tosti pool and Pinti field seem to be under some construction. There are no cars at either Columbus Elementary School (middle right) or Staley Junior High School (upper left) so it ‘s not during a school day. The trees have dark foliage and there’s no snow on the ground, eliminating fall or winter as time of year . Does anyone out there have a more accurate estimate?
